Maps of observed precipitation conditions, individual graphics by basin are produced from MERGE/GPM data generated by INPE/CPTEC, considering the period from de 1998 a 2025. Between May 19 to June 17, 2026, rainfall below climatological norms resulted in a precipitation deficit along the main course of the Amazon River in Peruvian territory, as well as in the watersheds of the Aripuanã, Beni, Guaporé, Içá, Iriri, Javari, Ji- Paraná, Juruá, Juruena, Jutaí, Madeira, Napo, Tapajós, Tefé, Teles Pires, and Xingu rivers; Above-normal rainfall was recorded along the main course of the Amazon River in Brazilian territory, in the watersheds of the Branco, Curuá Una, and Marañon rivers, in the left-bank watersheds of the Amazon River in northeastern Amazonas State and northwestern Pará State, and in the Ucayali River basin; rainfall close to normal levels was recorded in the watersheds of the Abacaxis, Coari, Japurá, and Mamoré rivers; the left-bank basins of the Amazon River in northeastern Pará; the Negro and Purus rivers; and the main course of the Solimões River. The multi-model indicates, for the period from June 17 to June 23, 2026, a forecast of predominantly above-normal rainfall concentrated in the center of the monitored region, over the main course of the Amazon River in Peruvian territory, and the watersheds of the Abacaxis, Aripuanã, Beni, Coari, Guaporé, Iriri, Javari, Ji-Paraná, Juruá, Juruena, Jutaí, Madeira, Mamoré, Purus, Tapajós, Tefé, Teles Pires, Ucayali, and the main course of the Solimões River; rainfall is forecast to be below normal, concentrated in the northern part of the monitored region, along the main course of the Amazon River in Brazilian territory, the Branco River basin, the left-bank basins of the Amazon River in the northeast and northwest of the state of Pará, and the Napo and Negro River basins.
