Maps of observed precipitation conditions, individual graphics by basin are produced from MERGE/GPM data generated by INPE/CPTEC, considering the period from de 2000 a 2023. Between October 8 and November 6, 2024, the rainfall pattern remains below the climatology in a large part of the monitored area with a precipitation deficit over the main course of the Amazon River in Brazilian territory, the hydrographic basins of the Abacaxis, Aripuanã, Branco, Coari, Curuá Una, Iriri, Japurá, Ji-Paraná, Juruá, Juruena, Jutaí, Madeira rivers, the basins on the left bank of the Amazon River in the northeast of the State of Amazonas, in the north-east and north-west of the state of Pará, Negro, Purus, Tapajós, Tefé, Teles Pires, Ucayali, Xingu and the main course of the Solimões River, rainfall above the climatological level has characterized the basins located in the west and south-west of the region, such as the Amazon rivers in Peruvian territory, Beni and especially the Javari, Mamoré and Marañon river basins, with high volumes of rainfall in the last 30 days. The multi-model forecast indicates normal rainfall over most of the monitored area. Predominantly above-climatological rainfall over the Rio Branco basin and in the south of the monitored area over the Iriri, Xingu, Juruena, Guaporé and Mamoré river basins.
