Maps of observed precipitation conditions, individual graphics by basin are produced from MERGE/GPM data generated by INPE/CPTEC, considering the period from de 2000 a 2024. Between December 3 and January 1, 2025, the rainfall pattern remains below the climatology for a large part of the monitored area, with rainfall deficits on the main course of the Amazon River in Peruvian territory, the basins of the Branco, Içá, Japurá, Javari, Juruá, Jutaí, Marañon rivers, basins on the left bank of the Amazon River in the northeast of the state of Amazonas, Napo, Negro, Purus, Ucayali and the main course of the Solimões River, rainfall above climatology characterized the basins of the Abacaxis, Aripuanã, Coari, Curuá Una, Iriri, Ji-Paraná, Juruena, Madeira, basins on the left bank of the Amazon River in the northwest of the state of Pará, Tapajós and Xingu. The multi-model forecast indicates a precipitation deficit over most of the river basins in the monitored area in the coming weeks, with rainfall above the climatology forecast for the main course of the Amazon River in Brazilian territory, the basins of the Branco River, the basins on the left bank of the Amazon River in the northeast of the state of Amazonas and the northeast and northwest of the state of Pará, the Negro River and the main course of the Solimões River.
