Maps of observed precipitation conditions, individual graphics by basin are produced from MERGE/GPM data generated by INPE/CPTEC, considering the period from de 2000 a 2024. Between December 31 and January 29, 2025, the rainfall pattern remains below climatological levels in a large part of the monitored area, with a rainfall deficit on the main course of the Amazon River in Brazilian and Peruvian territory, the hydrographic basins of the Curuá Una, Içá, Japurá, Javari, Juruá, Jutaí and Marañon rivers, basins on the left bank of the Amazon River in the northeast of the state of Amazonas, Napo, Negro, Purus, Tefé, Ucayali and the main course of the Solimões River, rainfall above climatology characterized the basins of the Beni, Iriri, Juruena, basins on the left bank of the Amazon River in the northeast and northwest of the state of Pará, Tapajós and Xingu rivers. The Abacaxis, Aripuanã, Branco, Coari, Guaporé, Ji-Paraná, Madeira, Mamoré and Teles Pires river basins are close to the climatology. The multimodel forecast indicates rainfall close to the climatology for the Aripuanã, Guaporé, Iriri, Ji- Paraná and Mamoré river basins in the first week. Overall, the forecast indicates rainfall above the climatology for most of the river basins in the monitored area, and a rainfall deficit for the Juruena, Teles Pires and Xingu river basins for the next two weeks.
