Maps of observed precipitation conditions, individual graphics by basin are produced from MERGE/GPM data generated by INPE/CPTEC, considering the period from de 2000 a 2024. Between April 29 to May 28, 2025, below-average rainfall in the monitored area resulted in a precipitation deficit along the main course of the Amazon River in Brazilian and Peruvian territories, the hydrographic basins of the Abacaxis, Aripuanã, Branco, Coari, Curuá Una, Guaporé, Iriri, Japurá, Javari, Ji-Paraná, Juruá, Juruena, Jutaí, Madeira, basins on the left bank of the Amazon River in the northeast of the state of Amazonas and the northeast and northwest of the state of Pará, Negro, Purus, Tapajós, Tefé, Xingu, and the main course of the Solimões River. Above-average rainfall characterized the Marañon and Ucayali river basins. Precipitation behavior close to climatology in the Beni, Içá, Mamoré, Napo, and Teles Pires river basins. The multimodel forecast indicates a predominance of below-climatological rainfall on the main course of the Amazon River in Peruvian territory, the Abacaxis, Aripuanã, Beni, Curuá Una, Iriri, Javari, Juruá, Madeira, Mamoré, basins on the left bank of the Amazon River in the northeast of the state of Amazonas and northeast and northwest of the state of Pará, Purus, Tapajós, Tefé, Teles Pires, and Xingu, rainfall above climatology predicted over the Branco, Içá, Japurá, and Negro river basins.
