Maps of observed precipitation conditions, individual graphics by basin are produced from MERGE/GPM data generated by INPE/CPTEC, considering the period from de 2000 a 2024. Between August 5 to September 3, 2025, rainfall below climatological norms concentrated in the southeast of the monitored area characterized by precipitation deficits over the watersheds of the Aripuanã, Guaporé, Iriri, Japurá, Javari, Ji-Paraná, Juruá, Juruena, Jutaí, Madeira, Negro, Purus, Teles Pires, Ucayali, and Xingu rivers; above-average rainfall is forecast for the Curuá Una, Içá, and left bank basins of the Amazon River in the northeast and northwest of the state of Pará, Napo, and Tefé; rainfall close to normal over the main course of the Amazon River in Brazilian and Peruvian territories, the Abacaxis, Beni, Branco, Coari, and Mamoré river basins, the left bank basins of the Amazon River in the northeast of the state of Amazonas, Tapajós, and the main course of the Solimões River. The multimodel indicates the following for the coming weeks below-normal rainfall in the Abacaxis, Aripuanã, Curuá Una, Iriri, JI-Paraná, Juruena, Marañon, Tapajós, Teles Pires, and Ucayali river basins; above-average rainfall in the Tefé River basin; and near-average rainfall in the other river basins in the monitored region.
