Maps of observed precipitation conditions, individual graphics by basin are produced from MERGE/GPM data generated by INPE/CPTEC, considering the period from de 2000 a 2025. Between February 3 to March 4, 2026, below-average rainfall caused precipitation deficits in the main course of the Amazon River in Brazilian territory, the hydrographic basins of the Abacaxis, Aripuanã, Beni, Branco, Coari, Guaporé, Iriri, Ji-Paraná, Juruá, Juruena, Jutaí, Madeira, Mamoré, basins on the left bank of the Amazon River in the northeast and northwest of the state of Pará, Negro, Purus, Tapajós, Tefé, Teles Pires, Xingu, and the main course of the Solimões River; rainfall above climatology recorded on the main course of the Amazon River in Peruvian territory, basins of the Içá, Marañon, Napo, and Ucayali rivers; rainfall close to normal recorded on the hydrographic basins of the Curuá Una, Japurá, Javari rivers and basins on the left bank of the Amazon River in the northeast of the state of Amazonas. The multimodel indicates, for the period from March 4, 2026, to March 10, 2026, a forecast of rainfall below climatology on the main course of the Amazon River in Brazilian territory, the Branco, Coari, Curuá Una, Japurá, and Juruena rivers, the left bank basins of the Amazon River in northeastern Pará State, and the Negro, Teles Pires, and Xingu rivers and the main course of the Solimões River. Rainfall is expected to be above normal in the Abacaxis, Beni, Mamoré, Marañon, and Ucayali river basins.
