Maps of observed precipitation conditions, individual graphics by basin are produced from MERGE/GPM data generated by INPE/CPTEC, considering the period from de 2000 a 2025. Between February 10 to March 11, 2026, below-average rainfall caused precipitation deficits along the main course of the Amazon River in Brazilian and Peruvian territory, as well as in the watersheds of the Abacaxis, Aripuanã, Beni, Branco, Coari, Içá, Japurá, Javari, Ji-Paraná, Juruá, Juruena, Jutaí, Madeira, Mamoré, the left bank basins of the Amazon River in the northeast of the state of Amazonas and in the northeast and northwest of the state of Pará, Napo, Negro, Purus, Tefé, Teles Pires, Ucayali, Xingu, and the main course of the Solimões River; rainfall above climatological norms was recorded in the Iriri, Marañon, and Tapajós river basins; rainfall close to normal recorded in the Curuá Una and Guaporé river basins. The multimodel indicates, for the period from March 4, 2026, to March 10, 2026, a forecast of rainfall below climatology on the main course of the Amazon River in Brazilian and Peruvian territories, the Acabaxis, Aripuanã, Curuá Una, Içá, Iriri, Ji-Paraná, Juruá, Juruena, basins on the left bank of the Amazon River in the northeast of the state of Pará, Purus, Tapajós, Tefé, Teles Pires, and Xingu; rainfall above climatology is forecast for Beni, Branco, Mamoré, Marañon, basins on the left bank of the Amazon River in the northeast of the state of Amazonas, Negro, and Ucayali.
