Maps of observed precipitation conditions, individual graphics by basin are produced from MERGE/GPM data generated by INPE/CPTEC, considering the period from de 1998 a 2025. Between August 4 to September 2, 2026, rainfall below climatological norms resulted in a precipitation deficit along the main course of the Amazon River in Brazilian and Peruvian territory, as well as in the watersheds of the Abacaxis, Branco, Coari, Curuá Una, Içá, Iriri, Japurá, Javari, Juruá, Juruena, and Jutaí rivers, Madeira, the left-bank basins of the Amazon River in the northeast of the state of Amazonas, the northeast and northwest of the state of Pará, the river basins of the Napo, Negro, Tapajós, Tefé, Teles Pires, and Xingu rivers, and the main course of the Solimões River; above- normal rainfall recorded in the Beni, Mamoré, and Ucayali river basins; near-normal rainfall recorded in the Aripuanã, Ji-Paraná, Marañon, and Purus river basins. The multi-model indicates, for the period from September 2 to September 8, 2026, a forecast of negative precipitation anomalies distributed across the main course of the Amazon River in Brazilian territory, the watersheds of the Abacaxis, Beni, Branco, and Curuá Una rivers, the left-bank watersheds of the Amazon River in the northeast of the state of Amazonas, the northeast and northwest of the state of Pará, and the Tapajós River watershed; Forecast of positive precipitation anomalies along the main course of the Amazon River in Peruvian territory, the watersheds of the Içá, Japurá, Javari, Ji- Paraná, Juruá, and Jutaí Tefé rivers; forecast of rainfall close to climatological norms for the remaining watersheds.
