Maps of observed precipitation conditions, individual graphics by basin are produced from MERGE/GPM data generated by INPE/CPTEC, considering the period from de 1998 a 2025. Between August 11 to September 9, 2026, rainfall below climatological norms resulted in a precipitation deficit along the main course of the Amazon River in Brazilian and Peruvian territory, as well as in the watersheds of the Abacaxis, Branco, Curuá Una, Içá, Iriri, Japurá, and Juruá rivers, Jutaí, the left-bank basins of the Amazon River in the northeast of the state of Amazonas, the northeast and northwest of the state of Pará, the Napo, Negro, Tapajós, and Tefé river basins, and the main course of the Solimões River; above-normal rainfall recorded in the watersheds of the Beni, Coari, Mamoré, Teles Pires, and Ucayali rivers; near-normal rainfall recorded in the watersheds of the Aripuanã, Guaporé, Javari, Ji-Paraná, Juruena, Madeira, Marañon, Purus, and Xingu rivers. The multi-model indicates, for the period from September 9 to September 15, 2026, a forecast of negative precipitation anomalies along the main course of the Amazon River in Brazilian territory, the watersheds of the Aripuanã, Branco, Coari, Curuá Una, and Iriri rivers, the left-bank watersheds of the Amazon River in the northeast of the state of Amazonas, the northeast and northwest of the state of Pará, and the watersheds of the Tapajós, Teles Pires, and Xingu rivers; forecast of positive precipitation anomalies along the main course of the Amazon River in Peruvian territory, the Guaporé, Içá, Japurá, Jutaí, Mamoré, and Ucayali river basins; forecast of rainfall close to climatological norms for the remaining river basins.
