Between 19 de December and January 17, 2024, the rainfall pattern remains below climatological levels in the north, south and central regions of the monitored area, with rainfall deficits on the main course of the Amazon in Peruvian territory, the basins of the Aripuanã, Beni, Branco, Guaporé, Içá, Javari, Ji-Paraná, Juruá, Juruena, Jutaí, Madeira, Mamoré, basins on the left bank of the Amazon in the northeast of the state of Pará, Napo, Negro, Purus, Teles Pires, Ucayali and the main course of the Solimões. The main course of the Amazon River in Brazilian territory, the basins of the Curuá Una, Iriri, Japurá, Marañon rivers, the basins on the left bank of the Amazon in the northwest of the state of Pará and the Xingu basin with observed precipitation close to the climatology for the period, positive precipitation anomalies characterizing the hydrographic basins of the Abacaxis, Coari, Tapajós, Tefé rivers and the basins on the left bank of the Amazon in the northeast of the state of Amazonas.
