Maps of observed precipitation conditions, individual graphics by basin are produced from MERGE/GPM data generated by INPE/CPTEC, considering the period from de 2000 a 2024. Between December 31 and January 29, 2025, the rainfall pattern remains below climatological levels in a large part of the monitored area, with rainfall deficits on the main course of the Amazon River in Brazilian and Peruvian territory, the hydrographic basins of the Içá, Japurá, Javari, Juruá, Jutaí and Marañon rivers, basins on the left bank of the Amazon River in the northeast of the state of Amazonas, Napo, Purus, Tefé, Teles Pires, Ucayali and the main course of the Solimões River, rainfall above climatology characterized the basins of the Abacaxis, Coari, Iriri rivers, basins on the left bank of the Amazon River in the northeast and northwest of the state of Pará, Tapajós and Xingu. In the coming weeks, the multi-model forecast indicates rainfall above the climatology for most of the river basins in the monitored area, a rainfall deficit for the main course of the Amazon River in Brazilian territory, the Mamoré river basins and the basins on the left bank of the Amazon River in the northeast of the state of Amazonas and the northeast and northwest of the state of Pará. Other basins with rainfall close to climatology.
